Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) and Qatar’s Center for International Policy Research (CIPR) Hold Virtual Meeting to Strengthen Research Cooperation

The Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Center for International Policy Research (CIPR) of Qatar held a virtual meeting to explore avenues for institutional collaboration and expand research-based cooperation.

During the meeting, Dr. Abdul Hai Qanit, Director General of CSS, underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two research institutions and highlighted the growing role of Track 1.5 diplomacy in supporting informed policymaking, fostering mutual understanding and complementing official diplomatic engagement.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the value of policy-oriented research in addressing shared regional challenges.

Concluding the meeting, both institutions agreed to enhance cooperation through joint research projects, co-authored policy papers, expert exchanges, academic networking and other collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting evidence-based policy dialogue and strengthening long-term institutional partnership.
